Premarital & Marriage Therapy

God designed marriage to be one of life’s greatest blessings and one of the most effective witnesses to His love. Romantic love and marriage relationships can also leave us vulnerable to hurt at the hands of the person we’ve given ourselves to through infidelity, emotional distance, selfishness, mistrust, and other wounds. While premarital therapy can give couples the best possible start by establishing best practices for connection and conflict management, couples who have already experienced hurt in their marriage can seek healing through marriage therapy by fostering understanding through communication skills, awareness and work on personal issues, and adherence to biblical principles of marriage.

Many couples find that hourly appointments make it challenging to progress and experience the relief they want from traditional hour-long sessions. A single hour can make it difficult to effectively share and understand two perspectives, identify strong patterns that are hard to break free of, and rehearse new, helpful ways of processing conflict. For couples who want to see improvement in their relationship at a quicker rate and deeper level, CPC offers intensive marriage therapy sessions lasting at least two hours and up to two consecutive days provided by Dr. Stephen Bell, LMFT. Visit the Intensive Marriage Therapy page to learn more about this service.

When requesting your appointment, please note for us that you're in need of premarital, marriage, or intensive marriage therapy.
