Matt Thomas
Student Therapist
Matt Thomas is pursuing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Originally from Ohio, Matt recently moved to Arkansas with his wife to work as the outreach minister for Central Church in Little Rock. He has 30 years of pastoral experience including campus ministry, preaching, and outreach ministry.
Matt has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, men’s ministry, couples, and older adults. His passion is to guide people toward restoration and hope by weaving faith with evidence-based counseling to nurture the whole person. Matt especially desires to strengthen his skills in helping older adults live with dignity and create meaningful end-of-life plans that address mental, physical, relational, financial, and spiritual needs. Matt finds meeting new people fascinating and believes his strength is meeting them where they are and walking with them into fuller, healthier living.
Matt and his wife have three married children and three grandchildren. In his free time Matt likes to garden, hike, hunt, fish, golf, travel, read, and gather with family and friends.
