Brian Walker
Licensed Professional Counselor
Brian is a philosophical counselor who believes counseling should deeply and meaningfully engage the mind and the heart.
Originally practicing in Idaho, Brian moved to Arkansas several years ago and has spent his career working in both clinical and school settings. While he began as a general clinical counselor, his work has gradually developed into a more philosophical, reality-based approach. He enjoys helping clients slow down, ask difficult questions, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Brian has a particular interest in working with individuals and families navigating marriage and family struggles, sexual and gender-related concerns, and questions surrounding the relationship between mental health and Christian faith. He welcomes clients who want their faith to be an important part of their counseling experience and seeks to help them thoughtfully connect their intellectual, emotional, relational, and spiritual lives.
Brian holds a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho, which he completed in 2013. In 2018, he returned to complete an endorsement in School Counseling. He is also certified in Logic-Based Therapy, a reason-based approach to philosophical counseling, and is currently working toward certification in Reintegrative Therapy.
A lifelong Catholic, Brian views counseling as an opportunity to serve others with compassion, honesty, and charity. His faith is an important part of who he is and shapes his desire to assist people as they work through difficulties of life.
Outside of counseling, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, prayer and study, exploring Arkansas, and continually learning new ways to support the people he serves.
