How much does counseling cost at CPC?
CPC's standard fees vary by service and clinician and a summary of our private pay rates are depicted below.
Many clients use insurance to reduce their out-of-pocket costs, and we are in-network with several major Arkansas insurers. Lower-cost options are also available. Contact us at 501-450-6350 or info@cpcarkansas.com and we'll look into your specific benefits before your first appointment.
We believe financial barriers should not stand between someone and the help they need. That's why we work hard to help clients understand their insurance coverage in advance and, when needed, explore more affordable options.
Clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and credit and debit cards. Additional services — including medication management, psychological evaluations, and court appearances — have separate fees. Please contact us for specific information about your situation.
Does CPC accept my insurance?
CPC is in-network with the Ambetter, AR Benefits, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Advantage, Municipal Health Benefit Fund, QualChoice, TRICARE, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are not in-network with Medicaid, Medicare, or United Healthcare. Coverage varies by policy and clinician — contact us to verify your specific benefits.
Insurance coverage for mental health services can be complicated. Not every clinician at CPC is in-network with every insurance plan, and coverage varies widely depending on your specific policy and the type of service you receive. Before your first appointment, we're happy to check your benefits for you so you know exactly what your out-of-pocket responsibility will be.
We can sometimes help clients use out-of-network benefits as well, depending on the insurance provider. Please call us at 501-450-6350 or email info@cpcarkansas.com to discuss your specific plan.
Please note: clients are ultimately responsible for any balance not covered by insurance after we have made every effort to utilize your benefits.
Does CPC accept Medicaid or Medicare?
CPC is not currently in-network with Medicaid or Medicare. We are also not in-network with United Healthcare. If you have one of these plans, we encourage you to contact us anyway — we may be able to help you explore out-of-network options, sliding scale fees, or lower-cost alternatives depending on your situation.
We are committed to making care as accessible as possible, and we never want financial limitations to be the final word. Please call us at 501-450-6350 or e-mail us at info@cpcarkansas.com to have an honest conversation about your options.
Are there lower-cost counseling options available?
Yes. CPC offers lower-cost therapy options for clients who need them. You can learn about these options on our Cost-Conscious Options page. You can also always contact us — call 501-450-6350 or email info@cpcarkansas.com — so we can review your insurance benefits and discuss available options before your first appointment. We never want cost to be the only barrier between you and the help you need.
Options may vary based on clinician availability and service type. We also encourage clients without insurance to ask about our cost-conscious options page on the website, which outlines additional pathways to affordable counseling in the Conway and Cabot areas.
Will I receive a mental health diagnosis?
A formal mental health diagnosis is not always required at CPC. If you choose not to use insurance, a diagnosis is typically not needed. When insurance is used, most plans require a diagnosis to establish medical necessity for coverage. Your clinician will discuss this with you openly, and only the minimum necessary information is ever shared with your insurer.
Some people worry that a mental health diagnosis will follow them or affect their employment or insurance rates. For many of the issues people bring to counseling — including stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions — any diagnosis assigned has effectively no practical impact, similar to a doctor diagnosing a minor illness.
It's also worth noting that some services, such as marital therapy, often do not warrant a clinical diagnosis. This may mean those services are not covered by insurance, and your clinician will help you understand the financial and clinical implications before you proceed.
Your privacy is protected under HIPAA. Your health information, including any diagnosis, will only be shared with your insurance provider to the minimum extent required to process your claim. To view CPC's full Privacy Policy, click the button below.
